From research simulating a leak in a gasoline
engine car and the same kind of leak in a
hydrogen car. The pictures are taken at 60
seconds after ignition. The hydrogen flame has
begun to subside, the gasoline fire is intensifying.

After 100 seconds, all the hydrogen was gone
and the interior of the car was undamaged.

The gasoline car continued to burn for a long
time and was completely totalled.

The fuel leak in the gasoline car was easily
accomplished simply by punching a hole in
the tank and igniting the escaping fumes.

The hydrogen car had to have four separate
safety systems disabled simultaneously
in order to simulate the leak. The chances of
this occuring by accident are near zero.

Hundreds of people are killed
and thousands injured every year
in gasoline automobile fires.

Hydrogen is far safer than gasoline in both cars and aircraft (see side panel at right). This has been conclusively proven in current research. Yet the general population still sees hydrogen as the more dangerous fuel. Regardless of the reasons for this misperception, it must be corrected if hydrogen is to take its logical place as a primary power source for our planet.

Hydrogen was used very successfully as a lifting gas until the Hindenburg disaster gave it an unwarranted bad reputation in 1937. There are still many technological hurdles to be cleared before hydrogen can become a truly practical world energy solution but safety is not one of them and part of our mission at HydrogenTwo.com is to dispel this misperception aggressively.

We are producing a video which demonstrates that hydrogen did not cause the Hindenburg disaster which we hope will become standard science class material. The video will be free to schools.

Hydrogen production and storage techniques are being researched in new and exciting ways. Many are still waiting to be discovered, no doubt. Imagine buying a small jar of algae, dumping it into your fuel tank along with a couple of gallons of water and running your car for a week. It isn't very far-fetched.

Our mission at HydrogenTwo.com is to educate the planet's children about hydrogen.
It is the only logical technology for our planet's rapidly growing power needs.
The supply is virtually inexhaustable and it is 100% clean when used as fuel.
Our planet will eventually run out of fossil fuels whether it be sooner or later.
We can debate when it will happen but nobody can deny that the time will come.
Let us be ready before that time comes.
Petroleum products can then be used as lubricants and other applications for which they are best suited instead of being criminally burned and wasted causing toxic effects to our planet in the process.
